The Rinnegan seems to be highly associate with the jutsus of Uzumaki clan (Despite lack of information on the Uzumaki clan) for instance.
1) Human Path – Is very similar to reaper death seal, Especially if you remove the dying part.
2) Naraka Path – Is very similar to Healing bite. This path can supposedly heal the other pains just like how Uzumakis can heal others with The Heal bite.
3) The chain’s that are use to subdue all tail beast (similar to one which Obito Uchiha used) are really similar to Adamantine chains of Uzumaki clan.
4) This one is long shot, But Animal path is quite similar to Uzumaki Clan.
how that Karin Uzumaki (Red haired girl} controll the ultimate summoning beast.
My guess is Masashi Kishimoto at first decide to make Uzumaki nagato a rare case of Uzumaki mutation but later scrap it in favor of madara awakening the rinnegan. That would explain the uncanny similarity between The Uzumaki clan and the Rinnegan.
